Bowen's Wharf Seafood Festival -
October 17 & 18 / 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
This 19th annual festival offers local restaurants serving up their most celebrated seafood dishes; continuous live music (folk, Celtic, sea chanties, blues); balloons, face painting, and fun for kids of all ages. Entry to the festival is FREE (food and beverages can be purchased at vendor booths). The festival is under beautiful tents and is on rain or shine.
Bowen's Wharf Christmas Tree Lighting & Open House -
December 5 / begins at 4:30 p.m.
Festivities include a magnificent tree lighting, visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and Frosty the Snowman, and a carol sing-a-long. Festivities begin at 4:30; tree lighting at 6:00. Santa and Mrs. Claus sail into Bowen's Basin (weather permitting). Children are invited to share their Christmas wishes with Santa. Bowen's Wharf makes for a great spot to watch the Newport Harbor Lighted Boat Parade (produced by Sail Newport). The tree lighting festivities are FREE and open to the public.
